The Canada Winter Games will kick off in Halifax on Friday and we are looking forward to some exciting ringette games being played. For those of you who are lucky enough to attend the event, we hope to see you around the rink (Cole Harbour Place is where ringette will be played). If you can’t be at the games, don’t worry…we have developed a comprehensive outreach program that will give you the option to follow as little or as much as you want. Our goal is to make those at home feel like they are part of the action.
Here’s what’s planned:
All ringette games, as well as the opening ceremonies, will be webcast live by BellAliant. To watch the webcasts, click here. Ringette games will start on Saturday, February 12th and finals will take place on Friday, February 18th.

The Canada Winter Games has set up pages to view tweets, YouTube videos, Flickr photos, Facebook messages and Halifax 2011 Canada Games blog posts in one handy location. To view the general Canada Winter Games page, click here. To view the ringette specific page, click here. You can be part of the action by adding the hashtags #2011canadagames and #2011ringette to your tweets, videos, and Flickr photos and they will appear on these pages. If you would like to follow other sports taking place at the event, there are sport-specific pages for every sport.
We hope that our efforts will help bring the ringette action at the Canada Winter Games to as many people as possible. We would also like to wish all the athletes and coaches travelling to the event safe travels and best of luck.
Thank you.
Alayne
